CalendarBell Terms of Use
Last updated: July 23, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") set forth the conditions for using CalendarBell (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
The App is provided by a service provider residing in Japan. These Terms are prepared on the basis of Japanese law.
The Japanese version of these Terms is the controlling text. If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the Japanese version and a translation, the Japanese version will prevail. This language clause does not limit any rights available to you under mandatory laws applicable in your habitual residence or otherwise applicable to you.
1. The App
The App is an iOS app that helps users view calendar information on their device and create and manage alarms related to calendar events.
The App depends on Apple-provided technologies and services, including iOS, EventKit, AlarmKit, notifications, Live Activities, and App Store in-app purchases. Event retrieval, notifications, alarms, Live Activities, purchases, and restores may not work as expected depending on device state, OS changes, permission settings, network conditions, battery state, Focus settings, or other circumstances.
Do not rely solely on the App for important appointments, deadlines, travel, medication, health, safety, business obligations, legal obligations, or similar matters. Use additional confirmation methods where appropriate.
2. Use of the App
You are responsible for your use of the App. You must not:
- violate laws, public order, Apple terms, or these Terms;
- misuse, reverse engineer, modify, analyze, or overload the App;
- infringe the rights, privacy, property, or reputation of any third party;
- interfere with the operation, provision, or security of the App; or
- engage in any other conduct the service provider determines to be inappropriate.
2.1 Use by Minors
If a user is a minor under applicable law, the user must obtain prior consent from a legal representative, such as a parent or guardian, before using the App or purchasing CalendarBell Pro.
Downloads and in-app purchases are also subject to the applicable Apple Account, App Store, and Apple parental-control settings.
Nothing in this section limits any statutory right of a minor to cancel a transaction or any other protection available to minors under applicable law.
3. Calendar, Notification, and Alarm Permissions
Some features of the App may require permissions such as calendar access, AlarmKit, and notifications. You may grant, deny, or change these permissions at any time.
If permissions are not granted, some features may be unavailable or limited. Notification permission is optional and is not required to use the App itself.
4. CalendarBell Pro
The App may offer CalendarBell Pro ("Pro") through in-app purchases. Pro features, prices, periods, free trials, and other purchase conditions are governed by the information displayed by the App Store at the time of purchase.
4.1 Auto-renewable subscriptions
Monthly and yearly plans are auto-renewable subscriptions. When a purchase is confirmed, your Apple Account will be charged. A subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal charges are made within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel subscriptions from your App Store account settings. Deleting the App does not automatically cancel a subscription.
If a free trial is offered, the subscription will convert to a paid period unless canceled before the trial ends. The App Store purchase sheet controls the applicable trial, price, period, and plan conditions.
4.2 Lifetime purchase
The App may offer a one-time Pro purchase. A one-time purchase does not renew automatically. Availability, price, and covered features are governed by the information displayed by the App Store at the time of purchase.
4.3 Refunds
Purchases, billing, and refunds are processed by Apple. If you would like to request a refund, follow Apple's refund request process.
5. App Store and Apple Terms
Downloading the App, purchases, in-app purchases, subscriptions, refunds, Apple Accounts, and use of the App Store are subject to Apple's terms.
Unless the service provider sets a custom EULA in App Store Connect, Apple's standard End User License Agreement applies to the App. These Terms supplement the conditions for using the App. If these Terms conflict with Apple's terms or the purchase conditions displayed by the App Store, Apple's terms or the App Store display will control for that matter.
6. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the App, related names, logos, screens, text, software, designs, and other content belong to the service provider or the applicable rights holders. You receive only a personal, non-exclusive right to use the App.
7. Changes, Suspension, and Termination
The service provider may change the App, its features, prices, conditions, or method of provision, or suspend or terminate all or part of the App, as necessary.
To the extent permitted by law, the service provider is not responsible for damages caused by such changes, suspension, or termination.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided as is. The service provider does not guarantee that the App will meet your purposes, always be available, operate without errors, or that events, alarms, notifications, or Live Activities will always be accurate or reliable.
To the extent permitted by law, the service provider is not responsible for damages arising from use or inability to use the App, except for damages caused by the service provider's willful misconduct or gross negligence.
9. Changes to These Terms
The service provider may change these Terms as necessary. Important changes will be announced in the App, on the website, or by another appropriate method. If you continue using the App after a change, you are deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. This choice of law does not limit any rights available to you under mandatory laws of your habitual residence or other applicable laws.
Any dispute relating to the App or these Terms will be submitted at first instance to a court having jurisdiction under applicable law.
