CalendarBell Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

CalendarBell (the "App") respects your privacy and limits the information it handles to what is necessary to provide the App. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the App.

The App is provided by a service provider residing in Japan. This Privacy Policy is prepared on the basis of Japanese law, including Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

The Japanese version of this Privacy Policy is the controlling text. If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the Japanese version and a translation, the Japanese version will prevail. This language clause does not limit any rights available to you under mandatory laws applicable in your habitual residence or otherwise applicable to you.

1. Information We Handle

The App may access and store the following information on your device with your permission.

1.1 Calendar information

If you grant calendar access, the App reads calendars and events on your device through EventKit. This may include event identifiers, titles, start times, end times, all-day status, calendar names, calendar identifiers, and calendar colors.

This information is used to provide App features such as event display, alarm creation, automatic alarm registration, excluded-event management, and Live Activity display.

As of the v1 release, the App is not designed to send calendar event titles, event times, or calendar contents to the service provider's server.

1.2 Alarms, settings, and in-app data

The App stores alarms created or configured by you, links between events and alarms, excluded events, per-calendar settings, notification settings, Live Activity settings, onboarding completion state, and similar data in local storage on your device.

This information is used to provide, display, synchronize, restore, and maintain App features and settings.

1.3 Purchase and subscription information

The App uses Apple's StoreKit and RevenueCat to process in-app purchases and confirm Pro entitlement status.

RevenueCat may receive information such as an anonymous app user ID, purchase, restore, and subscription status, product IDs, receipts or purchase tokens, and technical information about the device or OS. This information is used to process purchases, confirm subscription status, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and operate billing features.

Payments are processed by Apple. The service provider does not receive your credit card number or other payment method details.

1.4 Support inquiries

If you contact us by email or another method, we may receive the information you provide, such as your email address, inquiry details, device, OS, and App version. This information is used for support, identity confirmation, investigation, and quality improvement.

1.5 Website access information

The App's support page, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and related web pages are expected to be published using Cloudflare Pages. Depending on Cloudflare's services, information such as IP address, browser access time, referrer, and technical information about the device or OS may be recorded in access logs. This information is used to provide the website, maintain security, and investigate issues.

1.6 Analytics, crash diagnostics, and app configuration information

The App uses Google's Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Remote Config to understand App usage, investigate failures, improve quality, and deliver mandatory update configuration. Firebase may receive an app instance identifier, App version and build number, technical information about the device, OS, and language, events about in-app actions and feature usage, crash stack traces, diagnostic app state and breadcrumb information, and technical information required to fetch Remote Config. The App is not designed to send calendar event titles, event times, calendar names, or calendar contents as Analytics events, Crashlytics logs, or custom keys.

2. Purposes of Use

The App uses information for the following purposes:

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services.

Cloudflare may process access logs and technical information while delivering these pages and providing security, performance, and availability. Please refer to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for Cloudflare's handling of information.

3.4 Google Firebase

The App uses Firebase Analytics for usage analytics, Firebase Crashlytics for crash diagnostics, and Firebase Remote Config to deliver mandatory update configuration. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy and security information for Google's handling of information.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

The App does not provide user information to third parties except in the following cases:

5. Retention and Deletion

Local data stored on your device, such as alarms, settings, excluded events, and calendar-related data, may remain until you delete the App, delete device data, or delete or change the data within the App.

Purchase and subscription information sent to RevenueCat is retained according to RevenueCat's policies and agreements. Usage and technical information sent to Firebase is retained according to Google's policies and configuration. Purchase and payment information handled by Apple is retained according to Apple's policies. Information received for support inquiries is retained for the period necessary to respond and for any period required by law.

If you would like to request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of third-party provision of personal information held by the service provider, contact us using the details below. We will verify your identity and respond within a reasonable scope in accordance with applicable law. Local data on your device may be deleted by deleting the App or through device settings.

6. Permission Controls

You can change calendar, notification, and other permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app. If permissions are revoked, some App features may become unavailable or limited.

Notification permission is optional and is not required to use the App itself.

7. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

As of the v1 release, the App uses Firebase Analytics to analyze App usage and Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash information. The App does not use advertising tracking and does not use advertising networks. Analytics ad-personalization signals and ad-network registration are disabled.

If advertising or other external server integrations are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy, App Store Connect App Privacy answers, and in-app explanations will be updated before introduction, and user consent will be obtained where required.

8. Security

The App limits information handling to what is necessary and uses local device storage, iOS permission controls, and security features provided by Apple and third-party services to help protect information.

However, no method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Device lock settings, OS updates, and Apple Account management by users are also important.

9. Minors

If a minor uses the App, they should do so with consent from a legal representative, such as a parent or guardian. The App is not primarily directed to children.

If a minor does not have the capacity to understand the consequences of the personal-information handling described in this Privacy Policy, their legal representative must review this Privacy Policy and provide any consent required by applicable law before the minor uses the App.

10. International Transfers

In connection with RevenueCat, Google Firebase, Cloudflare, and other third-party services, purchase and subscription-related information, usage and technical information, and website access logs may be processed or stored on servers outside Japan.

11. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be changed as necessary. Important changes will be announced in the App, on the website, or by another appropriate method.
